Yantras are ancient and powerful geometric diagrams that represent deities or planetary powers. Traditionally used in meditation, yantras have the power to still the mind and invoke great blessings. Yantra is the visual counterpart to mantra, capturing the sacred power with color and shapes, the way mantras embody sacred power with sound. Each custom yantra is hand painted and infused with the mantras of the respective deity or planet so please allow for 2 weeks for delivery.
Mavis’s deity paintings, like her yantras, are hand painted and done with great devotion and love. The images depict traditional Hindu/ tantric imagery with vibrant color and striking detail.
Mavis Gewant learned the ancient techniques of yantra and silk deity painting from Tantric Master Harish Johari, studying with him for more than twenty years.
