The Warrens are back! The full length trailer of the highly anticipating movie of the year has released and it looks GOOOD!
The wait is FINALLY over! Annabelle is hereeee. Okay, not really, but the official trailer is and boy does it look good. Warner Bros. Pictures released the full-length trailer of the movie we all are desperately waiting for and it didn't disappoint! The third Annabelle movie is going to come a full a circle and play connect the dots with the other movies in the Conjuring Universe. The trailer opens up in the Warren Occult Museum we first saw in the original Conjuring movie and we see Ed and Lorraine Warren, their daughter Judy, Father Gordon and of course, Annabelle.
We hear Ed's 'Everything you see in here is either haunted or cursed' speech along with 'sometimes it is better to keep the genie in a bottle', and then Judy's friend asks her if her parents keep any creepy stuff around. Despite all the warnings in the room, she goes ahead and touches 'everything,' setting every evil spirit free. If only people in horror movies would stop being so ridiculous! But, then again, if that happens, how will Hollywood make spinoffs and sequels?
LATER, Vera Farmiga says that 'the doll is a beacon for other spirits' and since the girl has let everyone out, it's sheer madness at the Warrens residence. The trailer is full of jumpscares and is pretty much one of the most terrifying trailers we have seen in a while. So ready or not, Annabelle is coming home to take your sleep away this June 28 starring fan favorites Vera and Patrick Wilson as Lorraine and Ed Warren.
James Wan, the creator of Saw, Insidious, Dead Silence, and The Conjuring movies is an absolute genius and an even better salesman. Guy realized what the audience wants and brought Annabelle back to the Warrens. Annabelle was first spotted in the original Conjuring movie in 2013, which became a huge hit. People found the movie so damn scary - there were reports that many people ran away from theatres, terrified. With a budget of $20 million, the movie made around $319.5 million across the world and since then, in the bright light of sweet success, the creators of Conjuring have released a horror movie almost every year.
The creepy doll in the movie caught everybody's curiosity and, the directors of the movie released a full-fledged, self-titled Annabelle movie, as a prequel to Conjuring and it was a major success. Team Conjuring then released another Annabelle movie in 2017 called Annabelle: Creation, which revolved around the story of how Annabelle came into existence, making the film a prequel...of a prequel.
But, all the movies of the Conjuring Universe have performed immensely well, all thanks to the genius James Wan. The man who recently directed Aquaman is working on Conjuring 3 and another spin-off of the Conjuring movies, The Crooked Man. Even though the sequel and the spin-off were announced earlier, the third Annabelle movie is coming first to scare you to your core. Be prepared.
In addition to Vera Farmiga and James' favorite Patrick Wilson, the character of Judy will be portrayed by Captain Marvel's McKenna Grace. Madison Iseman as Mary Ellen, Katie Sarife as Daniela, Steve Coulter as Father Gordon, and Paul Dean as Mr. Palmeri will also be seen in the movie. Annabelle 3 will resume the story from what happened when Ed and Lorraine Warren first got the doll. Annabelle is believed to haunt Judy, their daughter in this movie and how the Warrens struggled to finally lock it up again in their artifact room.
James Wan has co-written the sequel with Gary Dauberman, the man behind the 2017 remake of Stephen King's IT. Gary has also penned down the script for the new IT movie, IT Chapter 2, which is coming out this year as well. He will be making his directorial debut with Annabelle 3. Imagine the horrors of Annabelle, mixed with the creepiness of Conjuring and a hint of Pennywise's terror. IMAGINE THAT!
Even the director admits that this movie is on the next level of creepy. Talking about the movie with Joe, James Wan said, "The story kind of picks up where The Conjuring, the opening kind of prologue sequence to The Conjuring. They go and interview these young ladies who have the Annabelle doll. And so our movie for Annabelle 3 picks up from that, literally, from where Ed and Lorraine take the doll and bring it back home. If anyone knows about the story of Ed and Lorraine Warren, with the sort of haunted museum that they have, the sort of haunted artifact room, the most prized possession they have in there is the Annabelle doll that they have locked away in that glass case. And so our story basically deals with what happens when they bring the doll back to their home," he added. Are you excited? Watch the trailer of Annabelle Comes Home below!
