In a special screening, fans can take their love for 'Beetlejuice' to the next level and watch the ghost with the most where he was shot.
Beetlejuice may have not been a major hit for the world, but it certainly is one of the best movies ever made for the fans. The 1988 American fantasy-comedy movie directed by goth father Tim Burton starring Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Jeffrey Jones, Catherine O'Hara, Winona Ryder, and Michael Keaton is a cult classic with a huge fan following and if you are one of those avid Beetlejuice lovers, I have some news for you which will make you jump with joy. A special Beetlejuice event is happening in which you can watch your favorite movie where it was actually filmed!
"Whaaaat?" Yes, take your love for Betelgeuse to the next level and catch the special screening of the movie where it was shot. And, it gets better. Along with the screening, fans will also get to enjoy a special Beetlejuice tour which will include seeing exclusive props from the movie! Organized by On Set Cinema and created by Kenny Caperton, the man who lives in the life-size replica of Michael Myers' house, the event is all about getting off your couch and stepping into the screen yourself!
"Attention K-Mart shoppers. Are you having trouble with the living? Are you tired of having your home violated? Want to get rid of them pesky living critters once and for all? Well I know just the dead guy to call. Say it once. Say it twice. Third time's a charm ...BETELGEUSE! BETELGEUSE! BETELGEUSE! That's right Chuck, I'm talking about the ghost with the most. Join me on Saturday, July 20th in the small New England town of Corinth, Vermont for a very special ON SET CINEMA event of one of the most beloved cult classic movies of all time ...BEETLEJUICE!" read the details of the event.
"I will be showing the movie in the heart of East Corinth, inside the historic Box B barn, which is located directly by so many locations from the movie, including... the town church, barber shop, cemetery, Lydia’s school, Maitland Hardware and the once covered bridge where Adam and Barbara plummet to their deaths. The barn can be seen in the establishing shots of the town and in Adam's model. The production used this barn as the location where they built all the sets while filming in the town!," the organizer adds further.
The movie screening is promised to be a blast and well, I'm already booking my tickets! "There will be refreshments available and I encourage everyone to come dressed as their favorite Beetlejuice or Tim Burton character, but of course it’s not required. You’ll be able to watch the movie from ground level or above in the old hayloft! Fans will also be able to join me on a walking/bus tour of the town, which includes seeing some props from the movie (including the cover of the bridge) and access to the property where the infamous Beetlejuice Maitland/Deetz house once stood (it was built specifically for the movie)."
"Corinth is one of the most photographed small towns in America and I'm honored to be able to work with them to create a really fun and memorable experience for fans. So, let's turn on the juice and see what shakes loose! Don’t forget to bring your handbook! …IT’S SHOWTIME!!!" The event sounds like a dream come true for Beetlejuice fans and if you loveeee the ghost with the most, get your hands on the tickets before they all run out here.
The tickets for the show are priced at $70 per person and the movie will start at 8:30 pm on July 20th, Saturday.
