Someone Recorded Their Cat Saying 'Well, Hi' In A Southern Accent And We Can't Get Over It

Many netizens think the cat sounds like Dolly Parton.

There is a reason why ancient Egyptians worshipped cats. They are highly intelligent creatures and are also the epitome of indifference. But these cute furry felines have a way of stealing our hearts even when they annoy us sometimes. In the last few years, we have seen quite a few dogs and cat videos going viral on the internet but this one here probably takes the cake.

An 8-year-old cat named Gambino Bambino has gone viral after it was seen that he can 'talk' just like us, humans! The video of the orange feline meowing in what sounds like a Southern accent recently went viral on TikTok. The video shows the cat running away from the camera into the kitchen, before popping out from behind the fridge to meow at the person holding the camera.

In the video, Gambino Bambino's meow sounds just like the words, “Well, hi!” said in a thick Southern accent. Gambino's human shared the clip on Instagram and TikTok and has delighted millions of people. The clip which was uploaded on TikTok already has over 1.4 million views and thousands of comments, making Gambino, the latest internet celebrity. In an interview with TIME, Gambino’s mom, Tawny said that Gambino is a rescue cat and a 'super chill dude'.

She said, "Gambino is playful and super cuddly. His favorite thing to do is hang out with his humans and nap with us. He knows his name and comes when he is called. He very mellow. He’s never hissed, scratched or bit us." Similar to other felines, Gambino enjoys long runs around the house and climbs on his indoor cat shelves. His human added, "He really doesn’t have a normal meow. He has his now-famous meow as well as a kind of bark when he wants to be fed. He also has a really long meow that sounds like he is yelling at you.”

Gambino's best friend is his fellow feline Tom Petty and they get along just fine. Tawny added, "Tom Petty actually has an even bigger personality and is much more active than Gambino. He plays a lot more and likes to sneak up on Gambino as much as possible." Since I've come across this clip, I've watched it over and over again and it really feels like I am watching The AristoCats.

Cats may be known to be snobbish, but that's not true at all. They like to spend time alone and have great respect for their privacy but they love us unconditionally. Some people who have watched the video have fallen in love with Gambino Bambino and said that they would lay down their life for this cat. One person wrote, "I keep thinking about the cat that said ‘well hi’ in a southern accent I hope he’s doing well."

Another one added, "I would lay down my life for this tiny southern cat.” A third one even said that Gambino Bambino kinda sounds like Dolly Parton! What do you guys think?
