CBS Announces Its 2019 Holiday TV Special Lineup To Get Us Into The Christmas Spirit

Mark your calendars so you don't miss out on your holiday classics like “Frosty The Snowman” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”.

You know Christmas is right around the corner when regular TV programs are slowly being infiltrated by festive ones. Not that anyone is complaining! It's time to mark your calendars as major cable television networks are all announcing Christmas Specials.

You don't want to miss any classic Christmas specials like The Christmas Train, Switched for Christmas and Northpole. And now, CBS has announced its holiday special schedule. And yes, it features holiday favorites like “Frosty The Snowman” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”

Frosty The Snowman – 8 p.m.
A story about a living snowman and a little girl who must evade a greedy magician who is after the snowman's magic hat.  Jimmy Durante narrates this magical tale and it includes the voices of Jackie Vernon as Frosty and Billy De Wolfe as Professor Hinkle.

Frosty Returns – 8:30 p.m.
The adventure continues in the next installment of Frosty the Snowman who has to now go up against powerful forces that threaten Christmas.

Robbie The Reindeer: Hooves Of Fire – 8 p.m.
Robbie, a reindeer who is out of shape, trains to participate in the Reindeer Races to become a part of Santa's sleigh team. 

Robbie The Reindeer: Legend Of The Lost Tribe – 8:30 p.m.
In the second installment of Robbie the Reindeer, Robbie sets out to discover a long lost Viking tribe while fighting off foes and escaping deadly traps. Britney Spears, James Woods, Leah Remini, and Jerry Stiller have all voiced characters for this animated film.

The Story Of Santa Claus – 9 p.m.
This animated musical holiday special is the origin story of Santa Claus, who is a man named Nicholas Claus who wishes to give gifts to every child in the world.

Earth, Wind & Fire, Sally Field, Linda Ronstadt, Sesame Street, and Michael Tilson Thomas will be celebrated during the 42nd Annual Kennedy Center Honors.

I Love Lucy Christmas Special – 8 p.m.
“The Christmas Episode” shows the Ricardo and Mertz families reminiscing in flashbacks shown as clips from the previous episodes from the classic series I Love Lucy.
