Hallmark has unveiled new ornaments for the year and from Ghostbusters' Ecto to Scooby Doo, there is something for everybody!
"But it's only April" Shuttttttttttt up! We don't need that kind of negativity in our lives, Susan. Let people talk about the tiny things which bring joy to their lives, okay? Okay. So, like every year, Hallmark has unveiled the list of NEW Christmas ornaments for this Christmas and I am in LOVE. The Keepsake collection is out and it is super diverse! From famous Christmas icons to faces of horror, the keepsake ornaments will surely cater to everybody's different preferences but well, just because the list is out doesn't mean you can buy them now...you gotta wait till December...
But at least we can look at them and try to decorate our future tree in our minds right? right? RIGHT? Good. Hallmark's collection for the year is huge and I wish I could buy them all. Some of the new ones include - Disney Mary Poppins The Perfect Nanny, Monster Mash Collection Frank on Guitar, Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas Jack Skellington, Disney The Lion King 25th Anniversary Musical Ornament With Light, and Ghostbusters™ Dr. Peter Venkman. Yes, you can now hang Bill Murray on your tree.
And, it's not just another keepsake ornament, it will speak to you, in Bill Murray's voice. "Are you troubled by strange noises in the middle of the night? Strap on your proton pack for some paranormal purging with Dr. Peter Venkman. Celebrate the 35th anniversary of the hilarious 1984 comedy, Ghostbusters, with this Christmas tree ornament that features the snarky scientist-turned-Ghostbuster and plays audio clips of several of his most memorable quotes (battery-operated)," reads the product description and I am SO buying it!
If you don't wanna wait till December, you can get your hands on the Ecto ornament this July 13, "Have a spook, specter or ghost in your neighborhood? If so, you may hear the unmistakable siren of the ECTO-1 as the Ghostbusters speed to the "scene of the slime.” If Ghostbuster is not your thing, you can go for Harry Potter. "The story of The Boy Who Lived comes to life with this Harry Potter Christmas tree ornament. Plug it into Hallmark's Keepsake Power Cord (sold separately) for constant illumination, then press the button to start an epic sound and light show from "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone." Connect all of the Harry Potter Storytellers ornaments—Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley—and the Hogwarts Tree Topper (each sold separately) to unlock additional amazingly interactive performances." Damn Hallmark, you'll be the reason I go broke this Christmas.
Other than the characters, you can bring home the whole Hogwarts as well and it looks absolutely MAGICAL! Not only does it light up but it also plays the iconic theme music, "Whether sorted into Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff or Slytherin, every young witch and wizard earns their place in the world of magic through their studies at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Bring the enchantment of Hogwarts to your holiday celebrations with this Christmas tree topper that features the wondrous castle. Plug it into the included power adapter for constant illumination, then press the button—either on the included Hogwarts crest remote control or on the back of the tree topper—to start a sound and light show scene featuring music from "Hedwig's Theme." Connect one or more Harry Potter Storytellers ornaments (each sold separately) to unlock additional exclusive performances from "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" that you can't access with the ornaments alone!"
Lovers of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation can also bring home something legendary! "Clark Griswold is the holiday host with the most, pulling out all the stops to give his family a fun, old-fashioned Christmas. And even Cousin Eddie isn't going to dampen his spirits! Press the button on this Christmas tree ornament to relive some of Clark's classic quotes while he makes small talk over a Marty Moose mug full of eggnog," I want them all!
Others in the list are - Star Wars, Sesame Street, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Walking Dead, and, wait for it, A Christmas Story™ Ralphie Gets a Gift! "Pink bunny suit definitely was not on Ralphie's Christmas list! And having to try it on for his mother might top the list of worst Christmas memories ever. Have a holiday chuckle as you relive the memorable scene from the hit movie "A Christmas Story" with this funny Christmas tree ornament." Which one from the new collection (or like 20, we don't judge) will you be buying? Check the whole list here.
