This news will bring a lot of smiles on the faces of people who love all things witchy and what better place for it than New Orleans? Did you know that there is an entire weekend that is dedicated to witches' rootworkers, Voodoo priests and other magical teachers? If not then you just need to know about New Orlean's Hex Fest.
As reported by Narcity, this festival will take place from August 7 to August 9 this year and the event takes place in one of the most haunted hotels in New Orleans, The Bourbon Orleans. The hotel is located right in the center of the French Quarter next to St. Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square, and both these places are also known for their mystical history.
The Bourbon Hotel comes with a beautiful pool and if you are attending the festival, it is not compulsory to stay in the hotel. Needless to say, if the venue is good enough to be the home of American Horror Story: Coven, it is good enough for all the aspiring witches to get into the spooky spirit.
New Orleans has always been a hot spot for occult religions, including Witchcraft, Voodoo, and Hoodoo and the tales of magic from the city have been stretched over centuries. The schedule for this Witch festival is completely packed with witchy workshops, psychic pow-wows, and rad rituals. Some of the coolest workshops include Developing Your Mediumship Skills, Salem Witches Spill the Tea: Tea Leaf Reading, and Foraging and Fossicking for Magickal Tools, the report noted.
Apart from that, there are tons of other workshops, but the schedule for the classes have not been announced as of now. The presenters in the event range from an Australian world-record-holding skydiver to shamans and witch doctors to a High Priestess of the New Orleans Coven.
The festival is limited to 300 witches, so if you want to guarantee your spot, get tickets as soon as possible. The tickets are priced at $350 and the address is 717 Orleans St., New Orleans, LA. If you want some additional information then you can check out their website.
