The perfect Halloween gift is HERE. Okay, not yet, but IT themed classic games will hit the markets soon, keep your eyes open!
Pennywise has found the perfect way to haunt people of the modern day. IT themed Monopoly and Clue games are coming out this year and the moment you start losing and PANICKING, you will hear Pennywise laughing in the background. USAopoly has partnered with Warner Bros Consumer Products and has announced that they are working together to make the creepiest indoor game ever. Adding new meaning to the 'Loser's Club', the signature game based on a horror movie is all set to release this year and we are happy that finally, the horror genre is getting some recognition!
"An ancient evil lurking under the town of Derry, Maine rises from its slumber every 27 years to terrorize the town’s children, and Pennywise has yet again to emerge… this time, in eerily familiar forms that will take over your future game nights," Opoly describes the games. "Surfacing soon to instill fear into your contented dice-rolling, location scouting rounds are thrilling titles that will guarantee “you’ll float too.”
"The OP is excited to announce our scariest games yet, created in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and centered around none other than the child-devouring clown figure himself. Join The Loser’s Club on their latest missions to fight back against Pennywise in CLUE®, MONOPOLY®, and the first-ever signature game based on the horror franchise, IT: Evil Below," they announced the two scary games.
"Based on the hit 2017 Warner Bros. Pictures’ film, CLUE takes the classic mystery game even further into shrouded chaos as Bill Denbrough and his friends attempt to determine Pennywise’s Plan. Travel between The House on Neibolt Street, the Synagogue, Derry Public Library, and more to identify various items used to lure the town’s youth, while avoiding Red Balloons that will end the operation before the menacing killer’s Plan can be uncovered." CLUE: IT will go on sale this March!
"Also inspired by the highly-acclaimed film, MONOPOLY: IT makes buying, selling, and trading places in and around Derry, Maine the key to winning this uncanny twist of “The Landlord’s Game.” Using tokens of iconic items such as an Inhaler, Paper Boat, and Bicycle, players can draw Encounters and Phenomena cards as they build Suburban Houses and Apartment Buildings on locations like Pennywise’s Cistern and the Derry Sewers." MONOPOLY: IT will be out later this year.
The games are adding up to the already existing hype around the highly anticipated sequel of IT titled IT: Chapter Two. The 2017 movie was a major success and managed to earn a humongous amount of $700.4 million across the globe, and not only became one of the highest grossing movies of the year, it became the best performing horror movie of all time. So obviously, Chapter 2 has some really big damn shoes to fill. The sequel will be fast forward 27 years into the future and tell us the tale of the losers' club and Pennywise, only this time, the kids are all grown up and Pennywise is well, Pennywise.
IT: Chapter Two will be released on September 6, 2019. James McAvoy as Bill, Jessica Chastain as Beverly, Bill Hader as Richie, Jay Ryan as Ben, James Ransone as Eddie, Andy Bean as Stanley Uris, and Isaiah Mustafa as Mike are the part of the grown-up losers' club. In a recent interview, Jessica Chastain revealed that the upcoming IT movie has one of the bloodiest scenes ever in the history of horror movies, "In the movie, there’s a scene — Someone said on set that it’s the most blood that’s ever been in a horror film. In a scene. The next day, I was pulling blood out of my eyeballs — like, fake blood.” It is the year for IT!
