Amid the controversy surrounding his personal life with the ongoing alleged abuse trial with ex-wife Amber Heard, Johnny Depp will be returning for the third installment.
Johnny Depp first appeared as the menacing Grindelwald in the second installment of the Fantastic Beasts franchise. But his involvement with the movie came at a very difficult time, as his personal life was marred with controversy when claims of alleged verbal and physical abuse surfaced against him and those accusations were brought by none other than his ex-wife Amber Heard.

In the third installment, the Wizarding world will see Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindelwald, Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore, Ezra Miller as Credence/Aurelius Dumbledore, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, and Katherine Waterson as Tina Goldstein. It has also been reported by the news outlet that Jessica Williams, who played Professor Eulalie “Lally” Hicks at Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the second installment of the movie will have a much more important role to play in the third movie.
The main reason why the movie has been relocated to be shot in Brazil is that all of them wanted to pick up a new location for the movie. The first movie, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them took place in New York City and the second movie was set in Paris. The movie will also see David Yates returning to the director's chair. Yates has been the director of the two previous movies, and Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling and Steve Kloves will also resume their roles as screenplay writers.
