Johnny Depp Plays The Guitar For All The Fans Who Supported Him During Legal Battle

The repercussions of Amber Heard's accusations were so severe Depp was removed as Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

Johnny Depp has been facing a lot of hurdles for years amid his ongoing divorce battle with Amber Heard. When the issue first came to notice, a lot of people were very quick to judge him, but his fanbase always stayed loyal to him. As the case slowly seems to unravel, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor has shown his gratitude towards his fans by joining Instagram and thanking his fans for their unwavering support.

On May 6, Depp took to Instagram to send out a special thank you to all of his fans who stood with him during his intense legal battle with Heard. Depp, within an hour of joining Instagram, had a following of one million. He shared an eight-minute video that appeared to have been filmed in a candle-lit cave. The setting for the video was on point since Depp is a member of this band called The Hollywood Vampires. The caption for his video simply read, "Sending you all my love and thank you for staying on this long road with me. JD."

Previously, Depp had released a rendition of John Lennon's Isolation along with Jeff Beck. The 57-year-old actor also revealed that coronavirus pandemic led to him joining social media. He said, "I don’t think I’ve really ever felt any particular reason to (join social media) until now. Nows the time to open up a dialogue, as the threat of this invisible enemy has already caused immeasurable tragedies and damage to people’s lives.” Along with this, the actor also urged his fans to care for one another during this crisis and urged everyone to take proper precautionary measures.

He continued, "We cannot and must not succumb to shutting down and giving in to what feels like hellish quarantine monotony. Create something today that will benefit yourselves and others tomorrow. Do anything you think could be of use to brighten someone’s day. Draw, read, paint, think, learn, make a film on your phone, play an instrument if you play; if you don’t, learn.”

Speaking about Lenon's hit song Isolation, he added, "The song’s about isolation, fear, and the existential risk to our world, so we wanted to give the song to you. We truly both hope in our own little way, it helps you get through these unusual times that we’re experiencing, even if it just helps to pass the time as we endure isolation together.”

Depp's legal battle with Amber Heard began when the Aquaman actress accused him of both verbal and physical abuse. Her accusations against Depp caused a massive uproar on social media. The repercussions were so severe that Depp was removed as Captain Jack Sparrow after the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean film, Dead Men Tell No Tales.

But, the tables turned quickly after an audio recording surfaced where it cast major doubts on Heard's accusations and her statements of Depp being the abuser in the relationship. Depp responded to the audiotape leak as well, by filing a $50 million lawsuit for defamation against Heard in 2018. Her attempts to close the case was declined but no final decision has been made yet.
