Many fans have said that Joaquin Phoenix's portrayal as the Joker is as good as Heath Ledger from the Dark Knight series. Well, that's a topic totally up for discussion, but this time, we are actually here with news that both sets of fans would love to hear.
Nothing has been confirmed yet but there are rumors of a Joker sequel and Joaquin has an answer if we would get to see him again as the iconic Gotham villain.
While speaking to Popcorn with Peter Travers, Joaquin said, "I wouldn’t have thought this is my dream role, but now, honestly, I can’t stop thinking about it. I talked to Todd a lot about what else we might be able to do, in general, just to work together, but also specifically, if there’s something else we can do with Joker that might be interesting. So, it ended up being a dream role. It’s nothing that I really wanted to do prior to working on this movie."
As we said, there is no official confirmation, but the mere fact that Joaquin is willing to put on his red suit again gives up hope that there might just be a Joker sequel that could happen anytime soon.
The sequel is quite possible considering the movie has earned way more than it ever expected and the reviews have been equally great. Would you like to watch Joaquin in Joker 2? Let us know.
