'Christmas Chronicles' Stars Kurt Russell And Goldie Hawn Celebrate 37 Years Of Togetherness

The much-anticipated sequel is expected to hit Netflix later this year.

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell are one of the darling couples of Hollywood who have never tied the knot. Together since 1983, they are always playful and their romantic off-screen chemistry is something that's hard to miss. They last appeared in a movie back in '87 on Overboard, and after over 3 decades, we will get to see the pair in the sequel to 2018's The Christmas Chronicles. The original movie featured Russell but Hawn only had a short appearance at the end of the movie. The sequel, titled: The Christmas Chronicles 2 will see the two reprising their roles as Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

The couple has been going strong for less than 40 years now and we can't help but feel inspired. Kurt Russell appeared on E!'s Chelsea Lately to promote Art of the Steal, and his GoGi wine line. According to E! Online, Russell shared some tidbits about what he got his beloved Hawn for their 31st anniversary. The actor said that he had opened a place called The Wine Saloon and added that: "I've been making wine for the past the last years. It's a really high-end pinot noir and it's a really high-end chardonnay. So I said, 'I want to have a great to showcase it at". He went on to say: "In Los Alamos, Calif., there's this old 1880 Wells Fargo station coach stop that's still there, and inside of it is this great old saloon that we've taken over." The Wine Saloon sells Russell's GoGi wines, along with Hudson Bellamy Wines (a rosé inspired by Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy) and Ampelos Cellars. "I took Goldie there for Valentine's Day," the actor explained.

The show's host Chelsea Handler said, "You took Goldie there because you're celebrating your 31st anniversary...You guys decided that Valentine's Day was your anniversary." "Actually, it sort of was," Russell said. "The first time we went to lunch together was Valentine's Day."  "We just had lunch. It was very cool. I liked her, she liked me, and we decided to have lunch again," Russell reminisced. "You can't just make Valentine's Day your anniversary when you didn't meet on Valentine's Day!" Handler argued. "You can't just make up your own romance rules!" Russell disagreed, saying, "You've gotta roll with what you've got!"

Meanwhile, Hawn told People magazine that: "He [Russell] was so good-looking,". She also noted that Russell "had no pretense about him. I could tell right away he wasn't a womanizer." And she admits the time she fell in love with him was “ when I watched my kids when they’d come to the set and how he was with them," she said. "He was amazing with them. He was such a natural.". Hawn also revealed the secret to their longlasting romance and relationship: “Love, gratitude, compassion because sometimes every man or every woman will drive their partner crazy. Family. Fun. Laughs. Sex. If you don’t nurture that and remember, you’re done.”
