Lifetime Announces 'One Tree Hill' Christmas Reunion Movie And We Are Beyond Excited

Lifetime network has also announced a record-breaking 28 Christmas movies just for us as part of “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” seasonal programming block.

Yes, we know Christmas is still a long time away but is it ever too soon to celebrate our favorite festive season? We guess not. It's never too late to celebrate all things Christmassy -- be it watching your favorite holiday movies or even bingewatching your beloved Christmas series.

And now Lifetime is here to bring all the Christmas joy sooner than we thought and it's for all those who enjoy cheesy holiday movies inside the comfort of your blankets.

If you recall, Entertainment Weekly had earlier reported that Lifetime network announced a staggering 28 Christmas movies just for us as part of “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” seasonal programming block. This is also a substantial increase over last year’s 18 original movies.

As amazing as the news sounds, wait, it gets better. Remember how fans have been clamoring for One Tree Hill reunion after the Lifetime Christmas movie The Christmas Contract came out last year? Guess what -- we are finally getting another one and it is also a Christmas movie. It doesn't get any better than this now, can it?

The cast members of One Tree Hill are finally getting into the holiday spirit with the 2019 Lifetime holiday movie titled A Christmas Wish. As reported by Bustle. If you are wondering which OTH cast members are returning -- Hilarie Burton (Peyton Sawyer), Tyler Hilton (Chris Keller), Colin Fickes (Jimmy Edwards), Antwon Tanner (Antwon "Skills" Taylor), and Lee Norris (Marvin "Mouth" McFadden) are all sharing screen space once again and fans are beyond excited!

If you have been religiously following OTH news, you would also remember Burton originally teased the Christmas reunion on Instagram in May. The photo had Hilton and co-star Megan Park, who is also married to Hilton in real-life. And it was captioned:

"Guys. I'm suuuuuuper picky about work. I only wanna play with my friends. So a big 'thank ya, kindly' to @lifetimetv for giving me @meganparkithere and @tylerhilton as early Christmas presents this year! We’re making holiday magic in the summer heat, and I could not be more excited about it. Stay tuned for more behind the scenes tomfoolery! #itsawonderfullifetime"

*Spoilers Ahead* Lifetime has also announced the movie's official description and it sounds magical: "Every December, in the small town of Cedar Falls, a wooden box is placed in the town square as a Christmas tradition for people to write their true heart’s desire on a slip of paper and place it in the box, in order to have the wish granted. After a night out together, Maddie (Park) decides to slip in a wish in the box for her sister Faith (Burton) to experience true love for the first time."

"Faith and Maddie are surprised the next day when she meets the very handsome and eligible Andrew (de la Fuente). At first, Faith thinks that her Christmas wish has come true. But as Christmas nears, Faith begins to wonder if Andrew is really perfect for her, or if her wish is leading her to her best friend, Wyatt (Hilton)," it continues.

And if you can't wait to watch more Christmas movies -- Lifetime has announced two movies which will feature familiar faces that you have enjoyed watching in the past. It is none other than Melissa Joan Hart and Tia Mowry-Hardrict.

Melissa will be starring as an event coordinator in Christmas Reservations which focuses on a handsome widower coming into her life. While Mowry-Hardrict will be starring in A Very Vintage Christmas, which is about an antique shop and the search for the owner of a mysterious box that comes packed with romantic souvenirs.

If you recall Hart was also part of last year’s A Very Nutty Christmas and 2017’s A Very Merry Toy Store, while Mowry-Hardrict was seen last year on Lifetime’s My Christmas Inn and Hallmark Channel’s A Gingerbread Romance.

What do you think? Would you be watching it? Let us know.
