'Lucifer' Season 5 Is HAPPENING On Netflix, And It Will Be A Terrifying FINALE

Netflix has officially renewed 'Lucifer' for its fifth and final season and while fans are extremely happy, they are also sad that their favorite show is coming to an end.

As we predicted, Lucifer has been renewed by Netflix for another season after the fourth one absolutely KILLED it and got the audience super hooked! In fact, the last season was actually the best one so far and THAT ending left people in tears, wanting for more.

So well, Netflix is going to give you what you want, answer all your questions, and resolve all the twists of the show in the upcoming season 5 because it will also be its last season.

That's right. Lucifer is ENDING after season 5 and it is a bittersweet feeling, mostly bitter to be honest, but hey, all good things come to an end. After being canceled by Fox, the show was picked up by the streaming giant to give its fans the devil they deserve.

And, they didn't disappoint. Season 4 was so LOVED by the audience that it became the most streamed show on Netflix within a week of its release, beating shows like Game of Thrones and The Big Bang Theory on ratings.

“We are so incredibly thankful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season, and now letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms,” showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich said in a statement. “Most importantly, we want to thank the fans for their incredible passion and support. The best is yet to come!” Lucifer's official Twitter handle shared the renewal news along with a very happy Tom Ellis and the new poster.

"Thanks to the lucifans, #lucifer's story will come to an end the way it should: the fifth and final season is coming to @netflix," they wrote, breaking the internet. “We’re thrilled that Lucifer fans around the world have embraced this series on Netflix, and we can’t wait to give them the big finish they’ve all been waiting for," Netflix teased a BIG finale but fans are pouring in requests, asking not to end the show already.

The comedy horror drama created by Tom Kapinos starring Lauren German as Detective Chloe Decker, Kevin Alejandro as Detective Daniel "Dan" Espinoza, D. B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, and Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin and Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, has been a major fan favorite with a massive fan base. The show has received critical acclaim as well and is always a trending topic.

The fourth season of the show is being called the best one so far by fans and Tom agrees. “I’ll say this is without a doubt our strongest season that we’ve done, for many reasons,” Ellis told EW. “A lot of it has to do with where we left our story and how we pick it up, and what we deal with this season is stuff we’ve never really dealt with before because there was always this conceit that no one believes Lucifer is the devil. But now that is common knowledge amongst some of our major characters.”

Netflix's Lucifer was only premiered this May but we are SOOO READY for season 5. According to showrunner Ildy, we don't have to wait for long! "Whoop whoop!!!! Season 5 is coming!!! Thank you to our beautiful Lucifamily for all of your love and support!! And to @LuciferNetflix for being the best partners EVER!! It’s our final season so we’re planning to make it COUNT!! #Lucifer #LuciferSeason5," she tweeted. Are you excited for the finale?!
