Tom Ellis just got married to his longtime girlfriend Meaghan in a beautiful ceremony and we can't get over the pictures!
It's official, 'Satan' is now a married man. The devil has found his destiny and put a ring on 'her.' Tom Ellis, the 40-year-old 'Lucifer' star, has married his longtime writer girlfriend Meaghan Oppenheimer on June 2. The first pictures are out and they look stunning! The couple who started dating in 2015 can be seen clearly in love and we totally adore Meag's wedding dress! Tom himself took to his Instagram account and shared a snap of his most special day with his fans.
"My new wife @moppyoppenheimer was a little unsure about my choice of transport for the honeymoon 🤗 thank you to everyone who made our special day so precious #happy #married," he wrote along with the picture. His wife also shared a gorgeous photo of the newly-wed couple, happily captioning it with 'Married!!!!!' Close relatives of the couple and friends, including some of 'Lucifer' cast, witnessed the ceremony.
The couple previously made headlines when instead of asking of usual wedding gifts from the guests, they requested them to make a donation to Planned Parenthood instead. "Thank you to all the people that have been asking about wedding gifts or charitable donations for my upcoming nuptials with @MoppyOpps that is so kind. If you would like to make a donation to @PPFA #plannedparenthood we would be very grateful," tweeted Ellis, sparking a mixed reaction from the public.
"We’ve had some people asking where they can donate or send gifts in honor of @tomellis17 and my upcoming wedding. We want to thank everyone for their thoughtfulness and ask that, if you feel like it, you donate to Planned Parenthood @PPFA - thank you! #StoptheBans," Meaghan tweeted as well and while some appreciated the couple's gesture, others were offended.
Sad to see an actor I liked so much, influencing and helping to maintain abortion clinics, killing and mulling poor innocent children. #DavidNotAbout— #Bolsonaro17 😎👉👉🇧🇷 (@mayaramel0) June 1, 2019
Why so much desire to kill babies? you're disgusting and you get confused with the character who plays.— filha da maria do rosario (@Ueelisa) June 1, 2019
In case you don't already know, in the light of anti-abortion laws, Planned Parenthood is an organization which provides medical aid and reproductive care including birth control, hormonal therapy, and abortions across the United States. The facility is hated by pro-life supporters who believe that abortions are equivalent to murder and should be banned.
On the other hand, people who support abortions are claiming if the 'heartbeat' law is passed, it will be stealing women of their basic rights.
So thoughtful to hit people up for wedding gift donations to cover baby murders..yes, how thoughtful— Stacey Davis Pope (@StaceyPope68) June 3, 2019
As far as the fate of Lucifer on Netflix is concerned, season 5 might be happening soon. Ellis recently teased that the show was returning with the fifth installment and fans are living for it. And well, keeping in mind that Lucifer was the most watched show on Netflix for weeks, we are certainly sure that the show will be back for another season, it's only a matter of time.
When asked about season 5, showrunner Joe spilled some beans to TVLine, saying that they have already planned a brilliant opening sequence. "What I will say is that we have the opening sequence. We literally have had the opening sequence since we started Season 4." The actors, directors, crew, and fans are all ready for Season 5, the only thing which is pending is Netflix's approval. Netflix's official fan account Netflix Life is already saying that the show will be renewed, let's wait and watch!
