Marilyn Manson Covers An Iconic Song Of 'The Doors' For Stephen King's 'The Stand' Series

Marilyn Manson fans have been waiting for new music since his last release in 2017 and not just that, he also has a supporting role in the much-awaited miniseries.

All of us are patiently waiting for Stephen King's bestseller The Stand to come to life in the 10-part miniseries adaptation of the book. But meanwhile, we've been treated to the soundtrack that will add to the darkness of the show.

Shock rocker Marilyn Manson has covered the song 'The End' by The Doors, a song that is apt for the TV show and will be a part of the series soundtrack.

Marilyn Manson fans who have been waiting for new music since his last release in 2017 will be delighted, to not only be able to listen to this new cover but, will be pleased to know that he also has a supporting role in the miniseries.

This song cover has already been playing at his live shows while he was on tour this summer, according to Alt Press. Manson's eight-minute cover does justice to the original 11-minute song but he adds his own eerie vibe to it to suit the nightmarish theme of the show.

The cover image for the song features an original watercolor by Manson himself, which has been brought to life by Zev Deans which you can notice on YouTube.

The song is now streaming and is available to purchase digitally. You can do that here. He will also be releasing the song on vinyl, but this will only be available on March 6th.

The miniseries is based on the post-apocalyptic novel by Stephen King, where 99% of the world population is wiped off by a deadly strain of a super-flu virus. This will be a remake of the 1994 miniseries which was directed by Mick Garris and the original airing broke all TV records.

The current cast includes a stellar line-up of actors like Whoopi Goldberg, Alexander Skarsgard, Heather Graham, James Marsden, Amber Heard, Odessa Young and is being directed by Josh Boone, who is a self-proclaimed Stephen King fan. The show is currently being filmed in Vancouver and is expected to be released sometime in 2020. It will be available on CBS All Access.

Stephen King fans have even more exciting news in store. King has revealed that he has re-written the ending of the new TV adaptation that has fans equally excited and alarmed.

So if you haven't read the book yet you should get started right now since the original, uncut version has more than a thousand pages. While you're at it, you should even watch the mini-series that aired in 1994 to be able to have the complete experience.
