The self-proclaimed vampire, who is 27 'human years' old, lives in London and even has a regular 9-to-5 job
Although there have been many myths and legends about vampires and tales of blood-drinkers that have echoed all across human history, none of them have ever been truly verified. We have had evidence of several cannibalistic tribes living all over the world, but that's not quite a "vampire" now, is it?
Now the news has come in of a woman claiming to be a real-life vampire and has even admitted to drinking the blood of others. Citing that she is actually 600-years-old, Lilith Vampyre lives in London and works a normal 9-to-5 job, It's Gone Viral reports.
This is apparently just her facade, as once the night begins and she is done with work, the 27 "human years" old woman takes on a vampiric personality. Her Instagram account has already amassed more than 150,000 followers so you can tell that she's quite a popular one already. This woman is certain she's a vampire and even says she likes to avoid being out in direct sunlight. According to her, she feels way more energized at night.
She said: "I can go outside and function in the daytime though I prefer to avoid direct sunlight as I find it to be draining. I feel my best after sunset." Her fascination with all things vampiric started when she young and saw horror movies featuring the blood-drinking ghouls. "I was first introduced to the lifestyle after watching Dracula as a child and I became fascinated with these mysterious creatures," she said. "I loved anything vampire-related, and that interest was what led me to discover others like me, online and in real-life groups."
"I would say I 'became' a vampire at 18, though I was not fully aware of it at the time, but I have now come to realize." she adds. It's not like Lilith just dresses up as a vampire, oh no, she even admits to drinking human blood which is pretty much the crux of being one. She stresses that it's something done between like-minded individuals and not helpless sleeping victims like you see in the films. "I drank human blood firstly out of curiosity," she explained. And it tastes metallic, almost copper-like. Though the taste can vary. "We make a small cut on the skin in a discreet spot, and drink it from there. They are close friends or people I meet who are interested in the lifestyle. It doesn't have to be a large amount, I find it's more about the overall act. It's very intimate."
The self-proclaimed 600-year-old went on to state that she "sometimes feel ancient." I've always had a keen interest in history and a lot has changed in the world from then to now, but the old world feels familiar to me as if I've lived in it," she said.
All in all, Lilith loves the whole 'vampire' lifestyle and explains that: "I find that being a vampire is liberating and empowering, and I love the air of mystery that comes with it." The lifestyle consists largely of socializing with other vampires and attending events and clubs together. "I also enjoy reading books about it, watching films, and dressing up. Though a lot of it is internal and being on a path of self-mastery whilst understanding myself and humanity."
