It's Official: 'Monsters, Inc.' Is Getting A TV Show, With The Original Cast

Mike and Sulley are returning in their very own TV show on Disney and it is everything you ever wished for.

Thought Monsters University would be the last you'd see of the scaaarrrieeesstt monsters in the world? Well, think again! The monster duo we all absolutely love and adore - Mike and Sulley - are coming back, only this time, they are not hitting the big screens. Instead, they are all set to crash your living room TV! That's right. Monsters, Inc. is getting its very own TV show, with the original actors and if you listen closely, you'll hear fans of Disney screaming in the background. Pixar and Disney have announced that they are working on a Monsters, Inc TV show and we simply can't wait!

According to Bustle, the upcoming TV show in work will be out next year on Disney +, Disney's own online streaming service like Netflix and Hulu which will include Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic based content. Titled Monsters At Work, the show will pick up events six months after the first Monsters, Inc movie. Mike and Sulley will be seen together once again, spreading laughter in the name of fear.

In Disney's press release, they have also shed light on the cast of the show and it is everything fans can possibly wish for. The show will feature the original cast of the movie, i.e., Billy Crystal and John Goodman will be reprising their roles as Mike and Sulley in the upcoming series. Tyler Tuskmon is also joining the monsters and will be playing "an eager and talented young mechanic on the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team (MIFT) who dreams of working his way up to the factory Laugh Floor to become a Jokester alongside his idols Mike and Sulley."

In addition to him, a lot of other new monsters are joining the show and we are thrilled. Star Wars: The Last Jedi's Kelly Marie Tran, Aisha Tyler, Henry Winkler, and many new voices will be heard, along with the familiar ones. Jennifer Tilly is returning as Celia Mae, John Ratzenberger as Yeti, and Roz along with her twin sister Roze is set for a return. Will you be watching the monsters in their own TV show? Disney is also reviving the classic we all fell in love with - High School Musical and turning it into a TV series for Disney+. Titled High School Musical: The Musical, the show will follow the lives of the students who will try to put their first musical in production. The show is confirmed to have 10 episodes so far and will include all the High School Musical hits! Get ready for a lot of drama and some musical goodness which will take you on a nostalgic trip.

Not just that, according to Deadline, Disney+ will serve as a home to over 500 Disney classic movies and thousands of episodes of its iconic shows. It will also include ALL the Marvel films. So, in case you are a sucker for all things Disney, be sure to get a Disney+ subscription, at least that's what Disney wants you to do. Who knows how many original movies Disney is planning to turn into series for their streaming service! Let's root for Mike and Sulley for now and hope Monsters at Work is as good as the two Monsters, Inc movies!
