You Can Now Take Virtual Tours Of Historic Museums While You're Stuck At Home

Google Arts & Culture has partnered with over 500 museums across the world to bring us a virtual tour that we can take right from our couch.

"Stuck at home" is all of our current situation at the moment. Whether it's the United States or somewhere in Europe, in India or halfway across the world in Australia, there's one thing running across all our collective minds: Coronavirus. Schools, colleges, malls, cinemas, and just about everything out there is shut to stop the deadly coronavirus from spreading. So, what's one way to spend our indefinite days off at home while we've quarantined ourselves indefinitely? Sure, we can read a book or two. We can even binge-watch a few series we've had on our list but haven't had the time to.

Given the long lay off that is very likely ahead of us, we certainly need to find more productive ways to spend our time than just laze around in front of the TV screens and our couch. What can we do then? Well, all of that is left to you to figure out, but we're here to drop off a suggestion that definitely deserves your consideration and we're sure by the time you're done with the activity, you will come out a very enlightened human person. What's this amazing activity you ask? Well, you can go on a museum tour from the comfort of your home. A report on Fast Company reveals that Google Arts & Culture has teamed up with over 500 museums and galleries around the world in order to bring people virtual tours and online exhibits of some of the most famous museums around the world. Some of these museums include Amsterdam’s Van Gogh Museum, London’s National Gallery, Whitney Museum of American Art, Gugenheim Museum in New York, Musee d'Orsay in Paris, National Museum of Modern & Contemporary Art in Seoul among others.
