If you have finished watching almost all the horror movies on Netflix, don't worry as the streaming giant is releasing a whole new bunch this June.
With the ongoing pandemic and being locked inside our homes to practice self-isolation, Netflix has been our true friend in these dire times. If you are a lover of the horror genre then you must have watched all the major movies that are available on the streaming giant. But if you are feeling a little sad that there are no more horror movies left to watch, then don't worry as Netflix has come to the rescue once again. The streaming platform is not leaving its horror fans hanging and has announced a slew of horror movies and shows for the month of June, reported We Got This Covered.
With all the Tremors movie leaving Netflix this June, the streaming giant is making up for it by releasing 1991 classic The Silence of the Lambs for its viewers. Not only has this news made the horror lovers ecstatic, but it will also bring in a huge number of viewers, given the cult following of the movie. The movie is based on a book by Thomas Harris novel of the same name and it is also where the spine-chilling cannibal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter makes his second on-screen appearance. In case you are interested in any other Hannibal Lecter related content, I highly suggest you watch the series titled Hannibal. The best part? Netflix is releasing all three seasons of Hannibal on June 5.
There is no doubt that The Silence of the Lambs is a critically acclaimed movie that won Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Adapted Screenplay. So if you are yet to watch this movie, you would definitely want to check this out. Meanwhile if you are looking for more horror TV shows, Netflix Original Series “Reality Z” is coming on June 10th. It is a movie about a zombie apocalypse where contestants on a Brazilian reality show are stuck inside a TV studio and try to evade the zombies. There is also the second season of horror series “The Order” that will hit Netflix on June 18th. Meanwhile, horror movie The Darkness starring Kevin Bacon arrives on June 16th.
But this is not the only movie that is being released by Netflix. David Fincher's Zodiac will also be landing on the streaming giant. The 2007 movie is directed by David Fincher and tells the story of a manhunt of the Zodiac Killer, an infamous serial killer who was never caught and taunted police and the press with cryptic letters and clues that extended till the 60s and the 70s. The movie has been highly appreciated by critics and audiences alike, and did I mention the movie stars Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey Jr.? If you are yet to watch this movie, I highly recommend this one, and similar to The Silence of the Lambs, this movie will stay with you for a long time to come.
Other horror movies making its way to Netflix are Priest, The Car, The Boy, and Cape Fear to name a few and as the month goes by, the streaming giant will keep adding more content for its fans. All in all, the month of June is going to be a treat for all the horror fanatics and I am going right now to prepare a schedule so that I don't miss out on any of these movies. What do you think?
