Netflix's Christmas Movie 'Let It Snow' Gives Out Major 'Love Actually' Vibes In First Trailer

Many people are calling Netflix's upcoming YA rom-com holiday movie as the Hollywood version of Love Actually and we can see why.

While Sabrina Spellman would prefer Halloween any day of her life, this time,  Kiernan Shipka's character in the new trailer for Netflix movie Let It Snow makes you feel all Christmassy getting us into the festive spirit.

Based on the best-selling novel by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle, the romantic comedy stars some very familiar faces and we can't wait for it to drop on Netflix on November 8.

Let It Snow has Kiernan Shipka, Dora star Isabela Merced, Shameik Moore (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), Odeya Rush (Lady Bird, Dumplin’), Liv Hewson (Santa Clarita Diet), Mitchell Hope (Descendants), and Jacob Batalon (Spider-Man: Far From Home, Spider-Man: Homecoming). As reported by Cosmopolitan.

"A group of high school seniors find their friendships and love lives colliding thanks to a stranded pop star, a stolen keg, a squad of competitive dancers, a mysterious woman covered in tin foil, and an epic party at the local Waffle Town. Come Christmas morning, nothing will be the same," reads the synopsis of the Netflix movie.

Just soon after Netflix released the first trailer of the much-anticipated movie, many viewers are calling it the teen version of Love Actually or even a Hollywood version of the iconic British rom-com holiday movie.

Although the trailer doesn't give out many details, we do know the movie focuses on Christmas Eve at a small midwestern town called Gracetown. And people of the town are bracing for a major snowstorm. And at the same time, a group of high school seniors end up going through some intense drama and romance as the movie goes on.

“The holiday season is the one time of year that just feels full of possibility, anything can happen, especially romance," Let It Snow director Luke Snelin told Teen Vogue. "People come together, they go back home to the places they grew up, old flames and new can get ignited.”

Meanwhile, Netflix recently announced its holiday lineup, calling it the “It’s Beginning to Look a lot like Netflix,” which will ensure you have plenty of Christmas content to binge-watch.

The full slate of movies includes many anticipated movies like the third installment of A Christmas Prince franchise, The Royal Baby and TV shows such as The Great British Baking Show and Nailed It!

There's also another holiday rom-com movie coming our way that you can enjoy with your loved one. Titled Holiday in the Wild, it is a safari-themed holiday movie starring Rob Lowe and Kristin Davis and we, honestly, can't wait!

It is a reunion that took nearly two decades to happen after they starred together in the 1999 miniseries Atomic Train.
