The much-anticipated Christmas movie has a stellar voice cast including Jason Schwartzman, J.K. Simmons, Rashida Jones, Joan Cusack, Will Sasso, and Norm Macdonald among others.
Although Christmas is almost two and a half months away, we've all been looking out for any holiday-themed movie that gets us into the festive spirit.
And Netflix is looking to cash in on that sentiment by releasing its first animated feature film, and yes, it puts an animated twist on a Christmas tradition. The movie focuses on Jesper, the world's worst mailman, as he sets sail for the Arctic Circle. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
He later meets up with a local teacher named Alva and also comes face-to-face with Klaus, a carpenter who lives alone in a cabin full of handmade toys. Their unlikely friendship and how they bring back the Christmas spirit is what Klaus is all about.
The animated movie has a stellar voice cast including Jason Schwartzman, J.K. Simmons, Rashida Jones, Joan Cusack, Will Sasso, and Norm Macdonald among others.
The film is directed by Despicable Me co-creator Sergio Pablos and it was made in conjunction with SPA Studios and Artesmedia Cine.
Alfonso G. Aguilar has worked on the music while Szymon Biernacki and Marcin Jakubowski served as the production designers. Jinko Gotoh, Marisa Román, Sergio Pablos, Matthew Teevan, Mercedes Gamero, Mikel Lejarza and Gustavo Ferrada have produced the movie. As reported by MovieWeb.
Netflix recently released the first trailer of the movie along with a poster. Klaus is coming to Netflix on November 15, 2019. You can watch the trailer here.
Meanwhile, there is another Santa Claus movie heading your way this Christmas. Disney recently unveiled the first trailer of the much-anticipated movie titled 'Noelle' starring Bill Hader and Anna Kendrick and it looks amazing.
Walt Disney took to Twitter to release the trailer and wrote: “It isn’t Christmas without Santa’s Sister.” The Christmas movie will focus on the story of Santa Claus’ daughter, played by Kendrick, who has to take over the family business after her dad retires. And that's not all.
Santa Claus' son, Nick Kringle played by Hader, is not very keen on taking over so it is up to Noelle, his sister, to save Christmas.
Noelle also disappears from the North Pole and heads to America to find Nick, the newly appointed Santa Claus, and save our favorite festive holiday.
Kendrick says in the trailer, “My name is Noelle Kringle,” as she starts singing for her reindeer and adds, “Christmas runs in my family.” Shirley MacLaine and Billy Eichner also star in the movie.
What really stood apart for fans in the trailer was how beautifully the movie captures the aesthetics of Christmas, making it look all the more magical.
