Johnson played Punky’s best friend on the 1980s classic sitcom, and shared photos on social media. “GRATEFUL Never in a million years did I imagine me and this hottie would be working together again! What a complete gift from God! Thank you, Universe, and thank you All Of OUR PUNKY FRIENDS who have grown up with us!” she wrote.

She will always be a part of me, she was a true trendsetter. I loved that she really was such a style icon. I look at so many designers today and their inspiration for Punky in the mismatched shoes and colorful ‘80s experience. I just love her. She was old-school before old school was old school! She was hip-hop! She’s all about expressing individuality.”
