Check out the first look of the upcoming Netflix movie starring Rob Lowe and Kristin Davis, marking their reunion after 20 years when they starred together in the 1999 miniseries Atomic Train.
With Christmas just two months away, we have all been looking out for places to visit around the holiday season. Planning the perfect Christmas getaway is not an easy affair, considering there are thousands of options that might seem ideal to visit.
But if you still haven't narrowed it down, a new Netflix Christmas movie based on a holiday adventure is coming your way and perhaps, that might help you? Yes, we are now getting a new safari-themed Christmas movie with elephants and other wild animals! How awesome is that?
'Holiday In The Wild' is an upcoming movie starring Rob Lowe and Kristin Davis, a reunion that took nearly two decades to happen after they starred together in the 1999 miniseries Atomic Train.
“Has it been 20 years?! Oh my god! I don’t know, because he’s the same! I can’t tell!” Davis told Entertainment Weekly in an exclusive interview. Now if you are wondering what 'Holiday In The Wild' is all about, don't worry we have all the details here.
The story revolves around Kate (Davis), a devoted wife from New York who realizes that her husband, a workaholic, leaves her. And this comes just about the time when they had planned their second honeymoon in Zambia.
And that's when Kate decides she has to take the trip all by herself to Africa. There she meets her safari pilot Derek (Lowe) who takes her on a detour to rescue an orphaned baby elephant.
There is a romance blossoming among the duo as they nurse the elephant and Kate realizes there is a whole new purpose in life for her.
"My own story is not a romantic comedy, per se,” David told the publication. “It’s just me falling in love with elephants and learning about the poaching crisis and trying to help.”

“There’s a bunch of people who watch documentaries and watch Nat Geo and they’re into it. And then there’s a bunch of other people who might not be exposed to the information necessarily because they might not be tuning into documentaries,” Davis said.
“So the idea was to make a romantic comedy, where you might be attracting a different group of people but yet have the real situation be the backdrop, without it being too scary or too harsh. We wanted to make it fun and we wanted to make it Christmassy and romantic,” Davis concluded. “And to me, elephants — nothing’s cuter than elephants!”
'Holiday In The Wild' hits Netflix on November 1. Will you be watching? Let us know.
