Sarah Paulson Teases Her Return On 'American Horror Story' Season 9: 'I May Pop Up'

Sarah Paulson Teases Her Return On 'American Horror Story' Season 9: 'I May Pop Up'

The American Horror Story scream queen, who has played iconic roles so far in the series, is teasing her return in the upcoming slasher season.

When the woman behind Billie Dean in Murder House, Lana Winters in Asylum, Cordelia in Coven, Bette and Dotte in Freak Show, Sally McKenna in Hotel, Shelby in Roanoke, Ally in Cult, and Cordelia in Apocalypse announced that she will not be returning for the ninth season of Ryan Murphy's horror anthology show, fans literally panicked.

However, AHS' scream queen is now teasing that she might return to play a small part in the upcoming slasher season. In an interview with ETonline, Sarah said that the feeling of sitting out the season is bittersweet and she just might pop up for a cameo.

"It's a little bittersweet because I have a lot of friends who are still on the show. So I'm getting updates about how it's all going and what they're doing, and I'm like, 'Wait, what? You worked until two? Oh, I remember working until two on that show. And then I'm also very glad that I can wake up at a decent hour because I'm not cross-eyed from having worked insane nights," the actress spilled the beans about what goes on behind the scenes.

"But, it'll be hard. I'll be watching and cheering everybody on. I'm really excited for this season. I think it's a really cool idea for the show this year. And you never know, I may pop up. You never know. No promises though," she teased. Do you want Sarah to return to the show again? We'll be surely rooting for her return.

The slasher season has dropped a series of promising teasers and posters so far and we are actually looking forward to it, despite the fact that almost everybody we love is NOT a part of the slasher season.

Evan Peters has confirmed not returning for season 9 at all and nothing has been said regarding Lily Rabe, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Taissa Farmiga, and other regulars.

Starring Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Cody Fern, Leslie Grossman, as well as newcomers Matthew Morrison, DeRon Horton, Zach Villa, Angelica Ross, and Ken Gusworthy, Ryan Murphy is definitely trying something new with the show but taking back to its horror roots at the same time by paying homage to 80s slasher movies.

Set at camp 'RedWood', if you are a fan of scary camp movies, season 9 will terrify you further as a masked killer called 'Mr. Jingles' is on the loose, ready to slash some throats.

'1984' looks like it has a lot of aerobics, 80's music, adventures and of course, slashing. Will you be checking it out? It comes this Sept 16, 10 pm ET on FX.

Also, if you are one of those who thought that the gore in Roanoke was 'too much', you should probably sit this one out. Why? First of all, it is a slasher season. If you can't stomach the craziness of Friday the 13th movies, this season is not for you.

Secondly, the longtime producer of the show, Tim Minear has already teased that the season is going to be a 'terrifying treat' for the fans of 80's horror and in case you don't already know, horror movies of '80s were rich in gore and blood content.
