'Scream Queens' Revival Might Happen & The Original Cast Are All On Board, Says Ryan Murphy

Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michelle, Abigail Breslin, and Billie Lourd are ready to return if a third season takes place.

American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy recently teased that Scream Queens might be coming back for a third season. Recently, Murphy spoke about the show's original cast that includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michelle, Abigail Breslin, and Billie Lourd, and also revealed that they are ready for a third season.

In an interview with TV Web, Murphy said, "I don't know. I would have to say that the answer to that lies in the studio who made it. Obviously, I work for Netflix now, but if I could do anything to bring it back. Emma said she would do it, Lea Michelle said she would do it, Jamie Lee Curtis, Abigail Breslin, Billie Lourd are all in. So it would depend if Fox wants to do it. I think we'd all do it. I think we're waiting for them to call us. I know the show is very popular and had a real spike in popularity on Hulu. That was another one when we were making it; I don't know if time has caught up to it, or it takes a while for people to get things, but yes, I'd be up for it. The fans should write Fox and say they want this, Fox Studios and the network."

Personally, I would be thrilled to see the original cast returning for one more season. In the past, Murphy has teased that he might bring back the show for a six-episode limited series or a catch-up movie, and it seems like a six-episode limited series is the best way to go from here.

Additionally, if the show does return to the Kappa House Murders, a six-episode limited series works way better than a catch-up movie.

For those living under a rock, Scream Queens has been created by Ryan Murphy Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan. The show aired for two seasons on FX before being canceled. The first season of the show followed a sorority that is led by Emma Roberts which becomes plagued by a serial killer known only as The Red Devil.

The second season was pretty lackluster and followed the returning cast which is plagued by another serial killer who resides in the hospital. Apart from the above-mentioned primary cast, the show also featured Skyler Samuels, Glen Powell, Diego Boneta, Keke Palmer, Oliver Hudson, Nasim Pedrad, Kirstie Alley, Taylor Lautner, John Stamos, and Ariana Grande.
