The recently released trailer gave us a sneak peek of what's coming our way and it sure looked good. While most prequels/remakes are a letdown, Castle Rock's Misery is giving us hope that this one might actually be good.

Lizzy Caplan is young Annie in the trailer and totally giving out Kathy Bates's vibes.

In addition to Lizzy, according to Deadline, Tim Robbins (Here and Now), Garrett Hedlund (Mosaic), Eighth Grade star Elsie Fisher, Yusra Warsama (Assassin’s Creed: Origins), Barkhad Abdi (Blade Runner 2049) and Matthew Alan (13 Reasons Why) have been added to the star cast of Castle Rock's second season.

“A feud between warring clans comes to a boil when Annie Wilkes, King’s nurse from hell, gets waylaid in Castle Rock," reads the logline of the new installment of the show.

“The basic idea is that it is an anthology in the sense that we're going to tell a new story that gives you a different lens into Castle Rock and into Stephen King each season. The thing we've always been really excited about, in the same way that the Stephen King universe operates, is that each story will stand alone, but that we will be circling back to characters whose stories intersect with the new stories," Thomason told DoG.

We see Caplan going nuts in the clip while also dropping the C bomb, Cockadoodie. There's blood, there's screaming, there are connections to Salem's Lot, it is perfect.

Misery arrives on Hulu this October 23rd, mark your calendars and get ready for Annie next week. The first season explored the themes of Shawshank Redemption, this one is Misery + Salem's Lot aka some of King's best works!

Misery is one of the most celebrated works of King and it not only won several awards but was also adapted into a movie in 1990, a horror classic starring queen Kathy Bates and James Caan.

Directed by Rob Reiner, the movie was a major MAJOR success and Bates' portrayal of Wilkes was so loved that she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress and well, she won! Do you think Caplan can fill her shoes? Check out the trailer below:
