Looks like Halloween has come earlier than we thought.
The chances of celebrating Halloween this year might be slim due to the pandemic, but that doesn't mean we can't celebrate the spirit of the spooky season. Target has unveiled an affordable new line of Halloween-themed succulents earlier this week and it looks like all kinds of adorable. They are equally cute and spooky and keeping up with the Halloween spirit, they are shaped like skulls, jack-o-lanterns, ghosts, and many others.
Target's Halloween collection is a part of the superstore's Hyde & EEK! Boutique that features a wide range of items inspired by the spooky holiday. While these Halloween-themed succulents look very real, they are actually fake. The succulents range in height from 2.5 to 5.25 inches, hence they are perfect to be placed on your desk, small table, or on the lining of the fireplace mantle.
The faux greenery also comes in a variety of different shades and colors. And the best part? All of these Halloween succulents are just under $5. The orange pumpkin, black cats, and white ghosts are priced at $3 and they look more cheerful than scary.
If you are looking to be spooked every time you look at the plants, then you should go for the colorful pumpkin-shaped planters that have terrifying eyes, tongues, and teeth coming out of the succulents. Priced at $4, these plants will definitely give you the dose of the desired spook. According to the Target website, the shipment of these adorable plants will begin on September 8 but these succulents might pop up in the stores before then. You can pre-order all the succulents from here.
While we are on the topic of cute Halloween decorations, succulents aren't the only thing that Target has in store for us. The retail chain has also unveiled the first look at their Hyde & EEK! Boutique collection and seems like it's already Halloween in July. Their new product line consists of Halloween themed baby costumes, toddler costumes, boys and girls costume, costume accessories, indoor and outdoor decor, candy and treats, and pet costumes. While there is no doubt that this year's celebrations will differ a lot because of the Coronavirus pandemic, but it looks like Target won't be letting us down.
Another big retailer who is gearing up for the spooky festival is Spirit Halloween. Earlier this year, the retail giant promised that they would be opening 1,400 stores and imposing proper guidelines to ensure customer safety. They took to Twitter and wrote, "We heard you're crushed. Well, don't worry, the rumors aren't true. WE ARE BACK & WE GOT THIS COVERED. We are safely preparing the best in-store experience possible & can't wait to welcome you back at our 1,400 locations. Come early & help make this year the [best Halloween ever]."
