'The Lost Boys' Is Getting A Reboot And The Original Cast Just Had A Reunion After 32 Years!

Stars of the iconic vampire movie Kiefer Sutherland, Corey Feldman and Jason Patric, were spotted together once again and our hearts can't handle it.

It appears that 2019 is the year for fans of Lost Boys as not only is the best vampire movie ever made is getting a reboot but the original cast of the movie which won our hearts in 1987 classic just had a reunion! Horror conventions and cons not only bring fans of horror under a roof, but they also serve as perfect reunion spots! At the Fan Expo Dallas, which was conducted last week, our Lost Boys were found hanging out together, after more than three decades. Keifer Sutherland, Corey Feldman, and Jason Patric had a mini-reunion and Feldman took to his Facebook to share the moment of joy with the fans.

“Although we didn’t get a chance to do a public photo-op due to, I’m guessing, the fact that I was added at the last minute, we still had a chance to have a quick hello and pose for one pic of the three of us all together. Just like old times!" the 47-year-old captioned the photo of the three actors together. The photo is quite blurry TBH but we're just happy that the cast had a reunion and were all smiles.

Corey also revealed that this is the first time the three actors were together ever since the movie premiered in 1987, "1ST TIME THE 3 OF US WERE IN THE SAME RM @ THE SAME TIME, IN LITERALLY 30 YRS!" He also revealed that even though there was not much time, they were still able to talk for a little while. "I spent 5 min speaking w Keifer backstage, and about 10 min w Jason and his family at the hotel. It was nice."

As much as we're glad the OG cast got together, they won't be a part of the upcoming Lost Boys reboot. Instead, fresh young faces have been picked for the TV show adaptation of the vampire movie. CW, the channel behind Riverdale, Charmed, The Vampire Diaries, Arrow, and Gossip Girl, known for its dramatic content, recently ordered a pilot for Lost Boys the TV show, a reboot of the original movies, and fans have responded with mixed feelings.

To suit the current audience and cater to as many people as possible, CW has gender-swapped the famous Frog brothers and we will see 'Frog sisters' in the Lost Boys TV show reboot. The Frog brothers have been switched to female characters, replacing Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander, who played the vampire-hunting brothers Edgar and Alan Frog in all the three Lost Boys movies and we really don't know how to feel about this reboot.

According to Deadline, Sarah Hay from Flesh and Bone, Cheyenne Haynes from Camping, and Haley Tju from Bella and the Bulldogs have joined the star cast of the show. Haynes and Tju will play the Frog Sisters, Liza, and Cassie, while Hay will play Mollie, turned into a vampire by David. Former Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey, Kiele Sanchez from Kingdom, Medalion Rahimi of Still Star Crossed and Dakota Shapiro of Valley of the Bloom will portray the main characters in the Lost Boys reboot. Oh boy.

The character of Sam Emerson, which was played by the late Corey Haim, will be played by Rio Mangini. Del Zamora has also been added to the star cast of the show. Catherine Hardwicke, who directed Twilight, will be directing the reboot and I really don't know how to feel about that...sparkling vampires again? Hell, no. "After 25 years away from home, Lucy Emerson (who is at the end of her financial rope) returns home to the small California beach town of Santa Carla, to live with her father Frank and teach at the local high school," reads the official synopsis of the show. Will you be watching?
