'A Quiet Place 2' Is Releasing This March And Here's The Spooky First Trailer

The sequel sees the return of Emily Blunt as Evelyn Abbott, a mother protecting her children who are living in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by aliens.

The first trailer of 'A Quiet Place 2' has released and it shows a backstory about the alien invasion from the previous movie. The much-anticipated sequel to John Krasinski's follow-up horror movie is scheduled to be released on March 20, 2020, and we cannot be more excited about this. The sequel sees the return of Emily Blunt as Evelyn Abbott, a mother protecting her children who are living in a post-apocalyptic world that is being overrun by aliens. And of course, she has a very keen sense of hearing otherwise she won't survive.

The first movie released in 2018 was directed and co-written by Krasinski and set in a post-apocalyptic world where almost all the population on Earth is wiped out after an alien invasion. The aliens, that are attracted to sound, attacks and kills following the noise. Blunt's family survives the attack using elaborate safety precautions. The first movie ends with Krasinski dying while saving his family, but it also saw the introduction of a new baby.

The sequel picks up directly after the terrifying attack and shows how Blunt and her remaining family members survive along with the flashbacks from the past that reveal how the attack and the invasion by the aliens begin.

The official synopsis of the sequel reads, "Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.”

The sequel is written and directed by Krasinski again and stars Emily Blunt as Evelyn, mother of Noah Jupe, Millicent Simmonds, and the baby from the first film’s harrowing home birth.

Going by the new trailer, it seems like we will be getting more dialogues than the previous movie, along with introduction of new characters like Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou.

The movie will also feature a Birdbox style sequence in the car and a close up on lips with two fingers making a shushing gesture, since, you know, it's part 2.
