This man, dressed as Santa Claus was seen kneeling down in front of a photo of Jesus Christ and this powerful image has restored our faith in humanity.
The Christmas season is the time of happiness and joy and we try to do as much good as possible. During this festive season, most of us are encouraged to take care and do whatever we can to help our close ones including strangers. It doesn't matter how busy we are, we are never really busy to attend a heartwarming family get-together and spend some quality time with our near and dear ones.
Since we only get a few opportunities to show our love and appreciation for our near and dear ones, we tend to go all out. Your family members might live close by or they might be living in different part of the world, each and every one of us make the effort to come together and celebrate the joyous occassion.
But sadly, not all families are lucky. For a lot of people, the holiday season serves as a painful reminder of the close people they have lost or because they will never be able to celebrate it with them again. In some other cases, their loved ones might be going through a difficult phase in life and some others might be suffering from some illness.
If you are a parent to a sick child, there is nothing worse than not being able to help your little angels or bring them home for Christmas. But, lucky for us, there are people who make an effort to put a smile across those children's faces and help them get through this difficult time with a smile on their face.
Such is the story of one hospital in Texas who came up with a plan. Needless to say, this plan had everything to do with Santa Claus so they got a person who dressed as Santa. As everyone guessed, he made every kid in the hospital smile. But he didn't stop there. On his way out, the man noticed a chapel in the hospital and soon he found himself sitting there and praying for the kids, as reported by Newsner.
This touching moment was captured by the hospital's director and it has restored our faith in humanity. Mariana Whitley Tumlinson, the director at the hospital took it to social media wrote, "I keep getting choked up with this photo. Today, after Santa visited our patients and was on his way out, he noticed our Chapel. I, of course, said yes. I didn’t walk in with him right away but when I did I was so moved by this image I had to capture it. What a great reminder of the reason for the season. #reasonfortheseason #myfavoritesanta."
This image went viral on Facebook and since it was posted, it had been shared more 40,000 times and garnered 39,000 likes.
