Ever wished you could stroll through the haunted objects Ed and Lorraine Warren caught? Well, now you can, from the comfort of your own home!
Listen up horror fans, Annabelle is coming home, literally. While we are all gearing up for the third Annabelle movie to finally release later this month, Warner Bros has released a little something like a sweet treat for all the Warren lovers.
To celebrate the upcoming release of the highly anticipated horror movie, a 360 degree VR video of the famous Warrens' artifact room has been released and it is as terrifying as it sounds. Ever wished you could stroll through the haunted objects Ed and Lorraine Warren caught? Well, now you can, from the comfort of your own home!
In almost all the movies from the Conjuring Universe, we have seen a sneak peek of the forbidden museum of cursed objects and oddities but now is your chance to witness the horror in its full glory. After picking bits from the official Annabelle Comes Home trailer, the video takes us behind the artifact room which clearly says 'Warning: do not touch anything' and allows us to browse through the collection of haunted items. Take your time, observe closely. You might see one of those objects in a movie real soon. *wink wink*
As far as Annabelle Comes Home is concerned, the movie will take us back to the time when demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren got hold of the haunted doll. In order to keep everybody else safe, they had the doll blessed and locked up safely in their occult museum where people were not allowed to go. But of course, someone will enter it, and Annabelle will be free again.
In the trailer, we hear Ed's 'Everything you see in here is either haunted or cursed' speech along with 'Sometimes it is better to keep the genie in a bottle', and then Judy's friend asks her if her parents keep any creepy stuff around.
Despite all the warnings in the room, she goes ahead and touches 'everything,' setting every evil spirit free. If only people in horror movies would stop being so ridiculous! But, then again, if that happens, how will Hollywood make spin-offs and sequels?
Later, Vera Farmiga says that 'the doll is a beacon for other spirits' and since the girl has let everyone out, it's sheer madness at the Warrens residence. The trailer is full of jumpscares and is pretty much one of the most terrifying trailers we have seen in a while.
So ready or not, Annabelle is coming home to take your sleep away this June 28 starring fan favorites Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson as Lorraine and Ed Warren.
James Wan, the creator of Saw, Insidious, Dead Silence, and The Conjuring movie is an absolute genius and an even better salesman. He realized what the audience wants and brought Annabelle back to the Warrens. Annabelle was first spotted in the original Conjuring movie in 2013, which became a huge hit. People found the movie so scary - there were reports that many people ran away from theatres, terrified.
With a budget of $20 million, the movie made around $319.5 million across the world and since then, in the bright light of sweet success, the creators of Conjuring have released a horror movie almost every year.
And, according to the man behind it all, this one is going to be the creepiest one yet. "The story kind of picks up where The Conjuring, the opening kind of prologue sequence to The Conjuring. They go and interview these young ladies who have the Annabelle doll. And so our movie for Annabelle 3 picks up from that, literally, from where Ed and Lorraine take the doll and bring it back home."
"If anyone knows about the story of Ed and Lorraine Warren, with the sort of haunted museum that they have, the sort of haunted artifact room, the most prized possession they have in there is the Annabelle doll that they have locked away in that glass case. And so our story basically deals with what happens when they bring the doll back to their home," Wan revealed. Check out the super cool 360 video below!
