People Can't Decide If Joe From 'You' Is A Bigger Psycho Than Norman From 'Bates Motel'

While some people have said Norman's behavior across the Psycho franchise is far terrifying, others have pointed out to Joe's sound mind during the killings that make him far "worse".

Holidays are the time for us to spend some time with our near and dear ones and catch up on the latest series that television has to offer. This Christmas, Netflix dropped season 2 of YOU on Boxing Day, December 26, and our day was made. The series is based on the book of the same name by Caroline Keepers and it follows Joe Goldberg, played by Penn Badgely, "a bookstore owner, who develops obsessive and deadly infatuations with women in his life," reports comicbook.com

The synopsis of the second season of the show reads, "What would you do for love? For a brilliant male bookstore manager who crosses paths with an aspiring female writer, this question is put to the test. A charming yet awkward crush becomes something even more sinister when the writer becomes the manager's obsession. Using social media and the internet, he uses every tool at his disposal to become close to her, even going so far as to remove any obstacle --including people -- that stands in his way of getting to her."

Sans spoilers, the second season of YOU sees Joe give into his stalker tendencies yet again and starts becoming obsessed with another woman called Love Quinn. The second season of the show has sparked quite the controversy, including, a now-viral tweet from @kvng_tomtom, which debates whether Joe is "worse" than Bates Motel Norman Bates (played by Freddie Highmore).

Twitter users have argued that there is a lot of similarity between Joe and Norman's villainy. While some people have said that Norman's behavior across the Psycho franchise is far terrifying, others have pointed out to Joe's sound mind during his killings that make him "worse".  Whatever the case might be, there is no arguing that YOU is a terrifying series that sheds light on just how dangerous the stalking obsession of a person can be. Joe is similar to Norman in the sense that he is his own worst enemy, and the second season just went onto show just bad it can get for him.

Check out the tweets for yourself.
