Woman Wears 9lb Of Extra Clothes To Avoid Airline Baggage Fee Of $85!

A quick-witted lady made headlines after wearing 9lb of extra clothes to plane inorder to avoid heavy baggage fee.

A Thomas Cook passenger has found the life-hack we never knew we needed! If you are somebody who travels a lot, you already know about the strict luggage policies airlines have and the ever-increasing fares, duties, and taxes. But, instead of paying extra luggage fees, this 30-year-old woman did something so incredible, even the airline management couldn't help but praise her quick wits. When asked to pay for her overweight bag, Natalie Wynn said a straight 'NO' and started pulling out clothes from her bag and putting them on herself.

Wynn was asked to pay extra €75, which is about $85 for her luggage bag so she decided to become a human igloo and piled clothes of over 9lb on her body, clothes over clothes. She revealed she booked an all-inclusive trip and wasn't carrying a lot of cash on her. “I didn’t want to be using the little amount [of money] I had just so I could get my bag on the plane,” Wynn told The Sun. “I literally said, ‘I’m not paying it’, and started putting my clothes on.”

Without fearing what people might think or say, Natalie started dressing up in the middle of the airport and boarded the plane while wearing SEVEN DRESSES, TWO PAIRS OF SHOES, TWO PAIRS OF SHORTS, A SKIRT, and A CARDIGAN! Imagine wearing all that at once while traveling. Departing from Manchester, England, Natalie admits it was uncomfortable and extremely HOT. “I was boiling, absolutely boiling,” she said.

“I felt like I was going to pass out because it was so warm,” she said. “As soon as I got on the plane, I took it all off and put it back in my case.” When the lady dressed like Joey from FRIENDS arrived at her seat, all other passengers laughed at first but then offered her to pack some of her luggage in their bags, humanity isn't dead, people. Even the flight attendant agreed on helping Wynn with her clothes and re-packed some of her stuff.

“Because I had booked an all-inclusive holiday so was getting all my food and drink, I didn’t plan on bringing much money with me,” she said.  “I think I only had about €69 in my account just to bring with me on holiday.”  The woman's suitcase weighed about 8.81lbs over the limit and she felt that $85 for that was a lot so she piled everything on her since she wasn't carrying so much money to spare with her.

“Saving £75 definitely put me in a good mood for the holiday. Everyone’s reaction to it being done put me in a good mood as well,” Wynn said. “I was worried I would get a negative reaction to it — people saying it was my own fault but not one person said anything even at the airport. It set up a good start to the holiday anyway," she added happily saving some serious $$$ on her journey and people all over the globe are now thanking her for finding the hack.

Even the airline has released a statement praising her. “Natalie’s ingenuity here is noted! The good news for Natalie and the rest of our customers is that later this month we are increasing our hand baggage allowance to 8kg. This will hopefully help her travel a little less like Joey from Friends next time," a spokesperson told People. Will you be trying out this hack anytime soon? What do you think of traveling like Joey?
