Create your very own version of Halloween Town with different figurines from the iconic movie.
Times are rough and we could use a little feel-good energy right about now. Nothing says relaxing good times than the arrival of Fall and with it, Halloween. Before we know it its Christmas and the festivities fill our heart up. No one better represents the intersection between Halloween and Christmas as well as Jack Skellington does. The Nightmare Before Christmas is the warm blanket for those of us who enjoy the festive season that much and could really use that warmth right about now. It's still a long time away but there one thing you can do for yourself as a quick fix.
You can now get yourself your very own Halloween Town and instead of binge-watching the movie, you can now have different elements from it and create your own live-action version of it. Sort of. You can choose what part of the town you want and make a version of that. Or you can just have it all. Department 56 has you covered for all your Nightmare Before Christmas needs. You can get Jack Skellington's House with comes with figurines of both Jack and Sally as well. It is complete with the ornate iron gate in front as well as the asymmetrical architecture.
Halloween Town is not complete without the City Hall, and it is even lit up and obviously comes with the two-faced Mayor. To add character to your town, you need the Town Square Fountain, with the scaly ghoul from whose mouth the water of the fountain falls from. It also comes lit with multicolor lights, which is an important addition to your Halloween Town recreation. To make the town more movie-like, you will obviously need the hill on which Jack sang dramatically. Department 56 does not disappoint and has the eerie curled up hillside replica from the movie as well.
Add to the town the Jack On Spiral Hill figure. The iconic scene from the movie where Jack belts out a song on the hill is replicated and even comes with the full moon rising in the background. The movie's other character, Sally, is just as important and your town will be incomplete without her. You can get Dr. Finkelstein's Observatory with Sally sitting in the graveyard. This piece is hand-crafted of stone resin and has an intricate detailing that captures the ghoulish aesthetic of the film. The observatory comes with colored interior lights that give off an eerie feel. It evokes something so essential to the story, that you need to have it in your collection.
Additionally, you can also get an individual figurine of Sally in her date night attire accompanied by a picnic basket and her black cat. No story is interesting without the miscreant and you can get this Oogie Boogie who's up to no good. The spin wheel even rotates and illuminates. The Lock Shock and Barrel Treehouse for a solid antihero for your homemade Nightmare Before Christmas setup is also another wonderful addition. You can even add townspeople and other town elements to make it as extravagant as you wish. The pieces range anywhere between $22 to $114. You can take a look here.
