If yes, the perfect Disney event for you is HERE. You can now party with all the infamous bad guys from Disney and chill with them. Not just that, you can also access the rides with extremely low waiting time. It's a win-win situation, people!
Disney After Hours is a fairly new event organized by Disney in which villain enthusiasts can gather around after the usual park timings, access popular rides without having to wait in long queues. Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Space Mountain, to newer favorites like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and many others will be available and the baddies will be pulling off a new stage show!
The show will feature Hades from Hercules, Jafar from Aladdin, Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog, and other villains, all together for the first time and fans of Disney are freaking out. Plus, the cost of admission will not only include the awesome fireworks display, the new play, and the rides, but it will also get you FREE beverages, popcorn, and other snacks. Starting this June 6th, the special event for the ones who reside in the darkness will go on till August 8!
A lot of new additions have been made to the Disney After Hours party which include, "A Brand-New Disney Villains Stage Show – Hades and Meg from “Hercules” will set the castle stage ablaze in this all-new stage show, Villains Unite the Night, which will also feature appearances by Jafar, The Queen, Dr. Facilier and Maleficent. Spot Maleficent the Dragon – Maleficent the Dragon, with her Steampunk style and signature wicked grin, will be let loose for the first time at night – breathing fire as she creeps through the park as a one-of-a-kind experience for party guests," details Disney's blog.
The tickets are priced at $139 plus tax if you book in advance for the show and $144 plus tax if you book on the same day of the event. The passes will go live on 29th April and you can check here for more details about the event. The fans who were really excited for the event, however, are complaining at the fact that the villains won't be available to meet and greet, only the stage show. "Add the meet and greet, Disney. It’s ridiculous to have a villains night if you can’t get pictures with the villains. I was super excited until I saw the end of the article," a furious fan commented on Disney's thread.
What kind of nonsense is “no meet and greet” during a villain event? We want the villains!— Stevie (@dropkickachu) April 2, 2019
On a different note, if you do love the villains, you'd be glad to know that a sequel to Maleficent is happening! Directed by Robert Stromberg, the movie earned more than $750 million worldwide, becoming not only one of the most successful ever made but also the highest grossing Angelina Jolie movie of all time. In addition to Jolie who was always on board with the idea of a sequel, Elle Fanning is also returning to reprise her role as Princess Aurora. "Here’s your first look at Angelina Jolie & Elle Fanning as Maleficent & Aurora on the set of Maleficent II," Walt Disney shared snaps of the two on their Twitter account. As far as Prince Philip is concerned, Brenton Thwaites will be replaced by Harris Dickinson. Michelle Pfeiffer of Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp is set to play Queen Ingrith in the sequel.
Academy Award nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor has also joined the star cast of Maleficent 2, and according to Screenrant, he will play Maleficent's love interest. Game of Thrones fame Ed Skrein is playing the supervillain in the new movie and Jenn Murray, Kae Alexander, Fernanda Diniz, and David Gyasi are a part as well. Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville are all set to return to resume their roles. "Maleficent 2 continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen, as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within," reads the first official synopsis of the sequel. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is all set to release this Halloween season on October 18th. Will you be watching?
