Pre-Columbian ancient Chavin Figural vessel, Rare! Ca 700-800 B.C. Ex Sothebys

Blackware pottery double-bodied vessel, the back of flaring cyllindrical form, and the front molded in the form of a squatting human figure with habds held to the chest, having incised lozenge shaped eyes, hooked nose and incised ornament around eyes. Bowl repaired from five original pieces and head reattached with restoration over breaklines.

Size: 8 1/2” x 8 1/4” Tembladera phase ca 700-400 B.C.
