Chavin Decorated Vessel

Chocolate ware pottery cylindrical vessel having a flared thick rim. Exterior with a wide incised band decorated with four profile highly stylized jaguar heads, with some remaining cinnabar highlights. Nice stone polish finish, with scattered surface deposits. A few minor rim flakes, two minor restored hairlines feom the rim, otherwise intact, exc condition.
