Rare Zacatecas Large Male Figure Pre Columbian Art - Ex Kirk Douglas Estate

Rare and Large buff color, polychrome decorated pottery seated male figure, fro Zacatecas, arms depicted in a circular form and resting on two supports extending from his knees. Noded shoulders, large cylindrical head with two small horns on the upper rim. Black painted hairdo, red striped shirt and highlights. Overall strong mineral deposits and root marks on the surface. Repairs to both legs with resurfacing over the repairs, right arm restored. A nice large example. Ca. 100 B.C. - 250 A.D.
